91³Ô¹Ï Leads All CCAA Schools with Eight Winter All-Academic Honorees

The Cal State 91³Ô¹Ï women's basketball team had three players earn CCAA All-Academic honors.

Eight Cal State 91³Ô¹Ï basketball players earned 2015-16 California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Winter All-Academic honors, the most total honorees of any CCAA school.
A total of 61 student-athletes representing the sports of men's and women's basketball from the conference's 13 institutions captured the award for this season.
In order to qualify for All-Academic recognition, student-athletes must compete in a CCAA sport with sophomore academic standing or higher and maintain at least a 3.3 cumulative grade point average.
The Pioneer men's basketball team accounted for five of 91³Ô¹Ï's eight awards. This bested all other CCAA men's hoops squads, with no other team earning more than three. , , , , and represented the CSUEB men on the Winter All-Academic list.
On the women's side, 2015-16 was an impressive season on and off the court. The Pioneers finished 27-5 to set a school record for victories, reached the NCAA Division II West Regional, and captured the University's first ever CCAA regular season and tournament championships. The trio of , and captured All-Academic honors. Bland and Craig were also previously recognized for their athletic performance with 2015-16 All-CCAA honors.
This marks the second year in which the CCAA has awarded student-athletes with All-Academic awards for their performance during their respective playing seasons. The Pioneer basketball teams tallied six total honorees in the winter of 2014-15.
