The latest issue of Peer Review showcases Cal State 91³Ô¹Ï’s commitment to improving STEM retention.

In 2009, CSUEB launched a new initiative to become a STEM-centered institution in a region known for its technology and innovation.

“This is showing how Cal State 91³Ô¹Ï has managed to bring together a change that involves multiple departments, multiple colleges, and has support from all levels of the university,” said Stephanie Couch, Bayer executive director, Institute for STEM Education at CSUEB.

The article in Peer Review was written by Couch, Biological Sciences Associate Professor Caron Inouye, Math Associate Professor Chung-Hsing Ouyang and Institute for STEM Education Lead Researcher Elizabeth Yeager.

Couch says she hopes Cal 91³Ô¹Ï’s example will inspire other colleges to integrate STEM education as well.
