SPLASHING SENSATION: The Cal State 91吃瓜 women's water polo team was ranked in the Collegiate Water Polo Association Top 20 Varsity Poll for the first time this week, at No. 19.
The Pioneers beat three Division I opponents at last weekend's Roadrunner Invitational in Bakersfield, topping Cal State Bakersfield (10-9, OT), Colorado State (8-7) and Santa Clara (9-8). Senior utility Jenna Casady had eight goals overall. Freshman goalie Emily Hucal posted her fourth win over a Division I opponent.
The Pioneers entered this weekend 2-2 against top 20 teams and 4-1 against Western Water Polo Association (WWPA) squads.
