Cal State 91³Ô¹Ï has more programs and courses approved for online offerings than ever before to help meet your scheduling needs. We are here to help you complete your degree and fulfill your academic and career goals.

You can simply email returningstudents@csueastbay.edu to receive instructions on how to complete a simple returning student form. Be sure to include your full name and NetID (if you know it).

Reinstatement and Readmission Following Academic Disqualification

Students who have been academically disqualified should complete the steps below to be reinstated/readmitted to the university.

Students who have not attended CSUEB for two or fewer semesters:

  1. Schedule an appointment with a counselor to see the steps needed for reinstatement. Please email readmission@csueastbay.edu with your full name, NetID, and your availability.
  2. Submit a Petition for Reinstatement Form and a Petition for Grade Forgiveness after you have repeated enough classes to be eligible for reinstatement.

Students who have not attended CSUEB for three or more semesters:

  1. Schedule an appointment with a counselor to see the steps needed for reinstatement. Please email readmission@csueastbay.edu with your full name, NetID, and your availability.
  2. If eligible for reinstatement submit a new application (including application fee) to CSUEB through after you have repeated enough classes. Application filing periods are posted at .
  3. Submit a Petition for Reinstatement and a Petition for Grade Forgiveness after you have repeated enough classes to be eligible for reinstatement and have submitted a new Cal State 91³Ô¹Ï application.


If you have questions about submitting the forms above or if you are unsure what courses specifically to retake to raise your GPA above a 2.0, please schedule an appointment with a counselor by sending an email directly to readmission@csueastbay.edu with your full name, NetID, and your availability.

Once you accept the admission offer, you can make an appointment with an advisor to review your remaining coursework. After you are readmitted, if you don’t know who your advisor is, email advising@csueastbay.edu and you will be connected to them.
